Trapping
In fiscal year 2021 our trappers removed 639 swine and in fiscal year 2022 they eradicated 1,821.
The Natchitoches SWCD uses cellular remote operated traps at no charge to landowners in Natchitoches Parish. We have two trappers working full time at the request of Natchitoches parish landowners. These services are free of charge to the landowner wanting to control the feral hog population on private land. The services of the traps and trapper are available year round and are FREE OF CHARGE.
